The school year is drawing to a close and the summer school holiday is almost upon us. While your pupils are understandably excited by the idea of six weeks of freedom, it can also be a difficult time for parents, stretching household budgets while making sure children and young people are entertained.
In Sefton, there is a wide range of fun, affordable things for children and young people to do, from dance classes to print workshops, football camps to water sports and everything in between.
You can find a summary of what’s on this summer for families in Sefton at the My Sefton website - please share this across your school communities
Please note that future emails to promote school holiday activities will be promoted by us here at Sefton Council’s Communications Team but this email does not replace the Schools roundup from Mike McSorley, Head of Schools and Families at Sefton Council.

Wrap Around Care
Wrap Around Care (WAC) is available to all Nursery age children each day from 12 o'clock until 3pm. Children who stay can bring their own packed lunch or pay for a school dinner.
There is a charge of £12 for each afternoon session. Please contact the office if you wish your child to stay as places are limited and you need to book ahead.
Severe Weather Procedures
We will try our utmost to keep school open as usual when there is severe weather.
If there is snow and/or ice we will keep the gate to the playground locked and ask for parents to bring KS2 (Juniors) children to the main entrance and KS1 (Infants) children to the Breakfast club entrance (where KS1 children are collected at 3.00pm). These doors will be open from approximately 8.40am to allow children to come into school safely.
In the afternoon children will leave school by these same routes.
We will always try to contact you by texting or by information via the website if the school day is affected due to adverse weather.
