Our Mission and Values

‘We are God’s work of art.’

At St Robert Bellarmine Catholic Primary School, our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do. Inspired by our mission statement, “We are God’s work of art,” we seek to create a loving, inclusive and Christ-centred community in which every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

Prayer, Liturgy and Worship
Prayer and liturgy are central to the daily life of our school. We provide meaningful opportunities for children and adults to encounter God, reflect on the Gospel and grow in faith. Through individual and collective prayer, celebration and worship, we encourage everyone to deepen their relationship with God and live out their faith in everyday life.

Relationships and Community
We strive to build positive, respectful and loving relationships between pupils, families, staff, governors, parish and the wider community. Following the example of Jesus, we encourage our children to show kindness, compassion, forgiveness and respect, recognising the dignity and uniqueness of every person.

Supporting Every Individual
We believe that every person is created and loved by God. We are committed to supporting the spiritual, personal, social and professional development of all members of our school community. Every child is encouraged to recognise their God-given gifts and talents, develop confidence and become the very best person they can be.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is rooted in our Catholic ethos and provides opportunities for children to develop their knowledge, understanding, skills and talents. Gospel values permeate school life and help our children to develop the attitudes, virtues and values they need to make positive choices, serve others and contribute responsibly to society.

Parish and Wider Community
St Robert Bellarmine is proud to be an active part of our parish and local community. We encourage our children to understand their responsibility to others and to put their faith into action through service, charitable work and care for those in need. In doing so, we help them understand that they can make a positive difference in their school, their community and the wider world.
