At St Robert Bellarmine, our school uniform is an important part of our school identity. It helps to create a sense of belonging, equality and pride and ensures that our pupils are smart, comfortable and ready to learn.

Girls: Light blue blouse or polo shirt with a maroon jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt. Pupils may wear a grey skirt or pinafore dress with white or grey socks. During the summer months, a short-sleeved blue and white gingham dress with a white cardigan may also be worn.

Boys: Light blue shirt or polo shirt with a maroon jumper or sweatshirt, grey trousers and grey socks.

All pupils should wear plain black school shoes. Trainers and high-heeled shoes are not part of our school uniform.

We appreciate the support of parents and carers in ensuring that children come to school appropriately dressed and ready for the school day.

School Badge

The school badge is optional. It is entirely the choice of parents and carers whether to purchase uniform displaying the school badge. Uniform with or without the school badge is equally acceptable.

Uniform displaying the school badge is available from Paul’s Place, 272 Stanley Road, Bootle. Plain maroon/burgundy jumpers and cardigans and pale blue polo shirts may also be purchased from other retailers, including second-hand retailers.

We want our uniform to be affordable and accessible for all families and there is no expectation that parents and carers purchase branded items where suitable non-branded alternatives are available.

PE Uniform

For PE lessons, children should wear a plain white T-shirt, maroon/burgundy shorts and black PE pumps.

Please ensure that all items of school uniform, PE kit and swimming kit are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Swimming

Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will require a swimming costume and swimming cap for swimming sessions.
