Operation Encompass
Supporting Children Following Domestic Abuse
St Robert Bellarmine Catholic Primary School is part of Operation Encompass, a partnership between schools and the police that helps schools provide timely and appropriate support to children who may have experienced domestic abuse.
Operation Encompass enables information to be shared with the school when the police have attended a domestic abuse incident involving a child who attends our school.
Where appropriate, Merseyside Police will notify a trained member of our safeguarding team before the start of the next school day.
This information allows us to understand that a child may need additional support, reassurance or understanding when they arrive at school.
Information received through Operation Encompass is treated confidentially and sensitively and is managed in accordance with our safeguarding procedures.
Our Operation Encompass Key Adults
Our trained Key Adults are members of the school's safeguarding team:

Mrs Austin
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
The Key Adults are responsible for receiving Operation Encompass notifications and ensuring that appropriate support is available for the child.
