Collective Worship
Collective worship is a special time when through words, images, songs, active participation from pupils and moments of silence and contemplation the children can stop, reflect and pray.
The Dead Sea Scrolls.
The children used the IPads to research the Dead Sea Scrolls and to create a book all explaining what we learnt about them using the app Book Creator.
The children learnt that the Dead Sea Scrolls were the first copies of The Old Testament. Incredibly, the words have not changed from the original scrolls to the words we read in the Old Testament we read today.
St. Paul's Letters to the Corinthians.
In class we have been learning about the Bible and studied 1 Corinthians 13. In this letter St Paul teaches us about what love is the qualities it possess. Inspired by St. Paul's words we wrote to the year 2 children telling them about how to love one another as they grow up in our school community.
