A Letter to Year 4 Parents

Dear Parents,

Well the final week of home schooling has finally arrived! "At last!" we hear you cry. But sadly that also means it’s time to say goodbye to Year 4. We cannot thank you enough for all your support and help with home schooling, you have done an incredible job rising to the challenge of becoming teachers during this very strange time, and we hope that you all get a well deserved break over the Summer Holidays.

This week’s work is uploaded to the class page, under week 14.  As well as some of the usual activities, there are transition tasks that provide the children with the opportunity to reflect on all they have achieved in Year 4 and to think about their aims for next year. This week’s health and wellbeing toolkit focuses on transition and the children may find this useful too.

To support your child with transition, please take a look at the Year 5 transition page where you can find useful information about Year 5 and there is a booklet for the children to complete and take to their new class in September.

Reports are available to collect from the school office and we would like to say a huge well done to all the children for how hard they have worked over the year and for all their achievements. We are sure you are very proud of them!

May we take this opportunity to say what an absolute pleasure it has been to have your children in our class; they are all a credit to you. It has been a privilege for us to watch your children mature and flourish during their their time in Year 4. Mrs Sutton and I are very sorry that we were unable to spend the whole year working with your children and we will miss them!

Thank you so much for all your marvellous efforts and your commitment to home schooling over the last few months. We look forward to seeing you all in September.

Take care and all the best,

Sir & Mrs Sutton
