Letter to Parents

Dear parents,

We hope you are all well. No doubt you'll all be pleased to know that we're now in the home straight with only two weeks of home learning left!

Week 13 activities are available on the class page of the school website for the children to access along with a suggested weekly timetable. Remember that the timetable is only a suggestion. By now you all probably have your own routines and are all working in the way that suits you and your families best. So please continue to do whatever works best for you but we recommend prioritising maths/tables, English, spelling and reading.

This week the children have been invited to take part in the healthy pudding challenge. We hope they will enjoy the task and it gives them the opportunity to think about what a healthy diet is.

You may remember a few weeks ago, we sent out some info from Mrs McQuiggan about the RE competition that all the children can take part in. The competition closes this week and I would love some of Year 4 to be in with a chance to win a prize. The information has been added to the class page again in the RE section if you want to take a look. All entries will be displayed in St Robert Bellarmine's church as a celebration of their work during lockdown.

In this week’s Coronavirus Toolkit, the focus is on resilience and developing the children’s ability to bounce back from difficulties we encounter. There are links to leaflets and videos giving advice on how to help children develop this emotional skill. I hope they are of some help.

If you are able to, please keep in touch with us using the email address below or on twitter. We love to hear from the children and see what they have been working on and are here to help if there are any questions or if your child is stuck on their work.

Mrs Devine should be in touch with the children over the next few weeks to have a brief chat before they move into Year 5, so please keep an eye for more information about this.

Once again thank you for everything you are doing. You have all been fantastic and we really appreciate your support.

All the best

Sir & Mrs Sutton
