Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

We would like to begin by saying another huge thank you for your continued help and support during another week of home schooling.  We want you to know that we are really grateful for how much you are doing and know that it isn’t easy. We hope you managed to spend some quality time relaxing as a family during the bank holiday weekend.

As we said in our letter to the children, this week is particularly emotional as they would have been completing their KS2 SATs. Although they are unable to do this, I am sure you will all agree that their hard work and effort have not gone unnoticed and I know that you are proud of the children just as we are so proud of them in school. Please be reassured that we are currently in the process of speaking to the Year 7 teachers and completing transition forms, just as we always do at this time of year. Therefore, your child’s new school will not only know how wonderful they are but also have their predicted KS2 results too. This will help them to plan ahead for September.

Thank you to those who have been in touch via our new email, it’s been great to have another form of communication with you. This is just another reminder that we are available for support, if you have any questions, on our class email, which is Y6@strobertbellarmine.co.uk. The children can also contact me or share work with me on here too.

Thank you for the tweets – we really enjoy seeing them. We know how busy you all are at the moment but it would be great if you can tweet what the children have been up to using the handle @StBellarmine and #Y6SRB.

Finally, please remember, as we always say, although it is important that your child continues with their learning whilst at home, their health and well-being (along with your own) is just as important. Therefore, please ensure that you continue to take time as a family to relax. If your child is struggling with their work one day, please factor in more breaks for them or direct them to some of the mindfulness activities that we have provided. You are all doing an amazing job and we can’t thank you enough.

Take care and stay safe.

We look forward to catching up with you over emails again this week.

Love Mrs McQuiggan and Mrs Johnson xx
