Dear Parents,
I can't believe that another week has passed already! I hope you and your families are all well.
I know home-schooling isn't easy, but we are very grateful that you are accessing the work and supporting your children with it. Please don't hesitate to email if you need any support/guidance with the work at home or have any queries that you would like answering.
This week I have assigned the children some reading books on Epic! Reading that are related to empathy. Tuesday 9th June is Empathy Day and the afternoon and English activity relate to this. I am sure you agree that this is a very important quality to have, especially in these difficult times and with current events that have been in the news recently. Now more than ever it is vital that we understand how others feel and be kind and understanding towards others.
All classes also have an activity to complete that will help them consider the positives that may have come out of lockdown, it will give them the chance to reflect on all of the things that they have done over these weeks at home.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be in contact by phone just to catch up with you and speak to the children. Please bear with me as I will only be able to contact a couple of you each day as I am in school full time as of Monday.
Thank you again for all of your support and please do get in touch if you need anything at all,
Mrs Connell
