Message from Mrs Devine & Mrs Rigby

Hello Year 5,

How are you all? We hope that you and your families enjoyed the VE Day celebrations and the lovely sunny weather.

Thank – you for all your emails. It is lovely for us to see all the wonderful work you are doing at home and we are so very proud of you. We know it can be hard sometimes but you are all doing a fantastic job. Thank- you for trying so hard and keep up the good work. We would also like to say a big thank-you to your parents for all their help and support.

Remember you can email one piece of work a week at  Y5@strobertbellarmine.co.uk. You can also send us a message to say hello, tell us about your achievements or ask a question if you are unsure about any of the work. We love to hear from you!!

I can see that many of you are enjoying the books on Epic! Reading and are keeping up your reading skills. Just 15 minutes a day will make a big difference and you will see improvements quickly. We have now been awarded a second badge, meaning we have read 50 books! This is fantastic!

Also, our class has been entered into a national Sumdog contest which involves children from all over the country. The contest began on Friday but does not end until this Thursday so there is plenty of time to join in. I know lots of you enjoy Sumdog so why not try and climb the leader board and see how well we can do? I you cannot remember your login details, email us using our class email address and we can send them over to you.

This week on your timetable, there are some health and wellbeing activities for you to try if you want to. We all know it is important to keep working on your reading, english and maths skills but your wellbeing is even more important. This weeks activities give you the opportunity to think about our relationships and how special they are. There are also so ideas of how we can make others smile who maybe feeling a little lonely at this difficult time.

Take care and keep smiling,

We miss you very much,

Mrs Devine and Mrs Rigby

xx
