Message from Mrs McQuiggan and Mrs Johnson

Hello Year 6,

How are you all? We hope that you and your families continue to stay safe and well.  We know that for those of you who are still working at home, it has been a long time away from school but we know that you are continuing to work hard and are really proud of your efforts. We cannot believe that this is week 13 of home learning already and that we only have this week and next week to go before the end of term.

The activities for this week include Philosophy questions, Maths, 4-a-Day, Problems of the Day, SPAG, English, RE, PSHE, and Spanish. You will also notice that we have set you some transition activities to complete too and it is really important that you read all of the information provided in the Transition section of our work this week as this will help to prepare you for your move to secondary school.

In the PSHE section of your work, you will see the next toolkit which is based on resilience. Please work through the activities provided. We hope that they provide you with extra support during this time.

You will also see that this week, you have the Healthy Pudding Challenge to complete as part of your DT work. Although we cannot taste your wonderful creations this year, we are sure that your families will enjoy judging your finished puddings. Remember to send us your pictures on our class email or tweet these for all to see!

We would also like to remind you that the closing date for our local RE competition is on Friday 10th July. Please see the details in the RE section which will remind you of your task. Remember, you have the chance to win a £10 gift voucher and also have your work shown on display.

Once again, thank you all so much for working hard and a huge thank you to your parents who are doing a wonderful job supporting you, we really appreciate it.

Take care and stay safe.

Keep in touch.

Lots of love,

Mrs McQuiggan and Mrs Johnson xx
