Letter from School Council Chairperson

April 2020

Dear staff and students of St Robert Bellarmine,

I hope you are all well.  I am aware that these times are uncertain and it can be very scary; however, we will get through this. Even though are apart, we have never pulled closer together and I assure you, we will all meet again soon.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all staff and their incredible effort of making sure that we are kept busy with enough work. I also wish to thank the NHS, independent shops, supermarkets, lorry drivers, refuse collectors and all others keeping life as normal as possible.

I miss each and every one of you, from my little buddy duty friends, to all my close friends in yr6. I miss the laughter on the playground, the silence of quiet reading and I am sure you all do too but we must remember to stay indoors and to only go out for essentials. Think about it, this is history in the making, future generations will learn of our heroic behaviour like we learn about the world wars.

Make sure to go easy on your carers as this is new to them too. They are probably just as worried and they only want you to be safe. Take time to be kind.

As I have said, we will see each other again soon but when all depends on whether we follow government advice so for now, stay in, stay safe and remember we will get through this.

                                                      Best regards,

                                   Chairperson of St Robert Bellarmine

                                                            Erin
