Dear parents,
I hope this letter finds you and your families well and that you have had a lovely weekend.
Once again you can find week 9’s activities on the Year 5 class page of the school website. As ever please prioritise maths/timestables, reading and spellings and pupils can choose from the other activities throughout the week depending on their interests and what they enjoy working on.
There are a couple of Health and Wellbeing activities this week, which your child may find useful. This Tuesday it is annual Empathy Day and there is a link to a family pack of activities. The activities provide a variety of easy ways of exploring empathy and encourage pupils to discuss how others are feeling.
Also in the Extra Activities section, there is an activity looking at the positives that have come from lockdown. It provides an opportunity for the children to reflect on this unusual experience and think about what they have learnt, enjoyed and achieved over these past weeks.
Thank you for the emails and tweets this week, it is lovely for us to keep in touch with the children. Please keep them coming if possible!

Over the next few weeks, I will try to phone all those not currently in school just to catch up and say hello to the children.
As always, thank you for all your help and support, it is very much appreciated!
Take care,
Mrs Devine and Mrs Rigby.
