Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium at St Robert Bellarmine

At St Robert Bellarmine, Pupil Premium funding is used to remove barriers to learning and ensure that all pupils, regardless of background, can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Our approach is rooted in high expectations, inclusive practice and a strong culture of belonging.

We prioritise high-quality teaching for all, recognising this as the most effective way to improve outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. Lessons are carefully planned, adaptive and inclusive, with consistent routines and clear expectations that support engagement and success.

Targeted support is provided where needed, informed by assessment and careful monitoring. This includes timely interventions, additional academic support and pastoral provision designed to build confidence, resilience and independence.

We place strong emphasis on positive relationships and wellbeing, ensuring pupils feel safe, valued and understood. Proactive behaviour-for-learning approaches, alongside the explicit teaching of self-regulation and learning behaviours, help pupils to engage positively with school life.

Attendance and engagement are closely monitored, with early action taken to support pupils and families where challenges arise. We work in partnership with parents, carers and, where appropriate, external agencies to provide joined-up support.

Through this strategic and evidence-informed use of Pupil Premium funding, St Robert Bellarmine aims to close gaps in attainment and opportunity, while promoting aspiration, inclusion and long-term success for all pupils.
