Dear Parents and carers,
We are happy to inform you that our School Council has decided to introduce an ATTENDANCE REWARD RAFFLE!
In order to get a raffle ticket, your child must be in school every day for a full week.
Our Office staff will keep track of your child’s attendance. So every child who is in school for a full week, each week, between now and Easter will get a raffle ticket.
The more times you get a raffle ticket, the more chance you have of winning!
The prize will be a £5.00 note to the winner in each class!

Dear Parents,
We are delighted to inform you that our Ofsted report is now available. We attained Outstanding in all five areas and an overall Outstanding judgement. The report is attached and we have sent a printed copy to you as well. We are so proud of this achievement.
This would not have been possible without the sustained and continuous hard work and commitment of all the staff within our school; the exceptional children who demonstrated exemplary behaviour and spoke so confidently to the inspectors about their learning and their school and you as parents who have continued to support us in all we strive for. We also really appreciate the very positive responses which you posted through the Ofsted Parent survey.
This inspection builds on our previous Outstanding inspection from many years ago, back in March 2012, a period of over 12 years. The school has continually met the ever demanding changes and challenges during this time and I can assure you, we will continue to do our best to maintain and build on these high standards and expectations.
This is a really positive outcome for St Robert Bellarmine School community. We look forward to the year ahead and continuing to help all our children to do their very best in all aspects of school life.
Many thanks for your continuing support.

Dear Parents/Carers
As you are aware, we had an Ofsted Inspection this week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Unfortunately, we are unable to share the outcome of the inspection yet with our children and parents until the report is officially published and because of the timing of the inspection, this will not now be until after the summer holidays.
We are, however, really pleased with the outcome and I just wanted to congratulate our wonderful children who played such an important part in the process. We are so proud of them! The inspectors remarked time and time again about their "exemplary behaviour", their politeness, respect for one another and the high standard of their work across the whole school. The children really enjoyed talking to the inspectors and their pride in their school was so obvious! You can be rightly proud of them too, as I'm sure you are!
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful support you have given the school and the overwhelmingly positive responses in the Parents Survey. We really appreciate it! We are looking forward to the final weeks of school and enjoying the end of term activities with you all.
Kind regards
Mairead O'Neill Dowell
Sefton Schools say #kNOwKnifeCrime
As a school we are always looking for opportunities and ways to educate our pupils on how to keep themselves safe. We have decided to team up with #kNOwKnifeCrime campaign and London Marathon 2024 and we will be fundraising for bleeding control kits and cabinets for outside our schools in Sefton. We want to keep our community safe and be well resourced in the event someone needs medical assistance.
Nursery to Year 6 pupils – Mini marathon
We will be having a mini marathon event in our school the week of 15th April 2024 where all pupils will participate in running in our school grounds. For participating in this event all children will receive a London mini marathon certificate and our school will receive a trophy.
Next week we will be informing the children about this campaign. As a school we will be making a donation for a bleed control kit cabinet outside our school. Younger pupils will focus on important lifesaving facts of how a bleed control kit can keep someone alive whilst waiting for medical assistance. It will also focus on keeping healthy and achieving ambitious goals by setting ourselves the mini marathon challenge.
Pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 will be having a virtual assembly from the the #kNOwKnifeCrime campaigner Laura Hughes (who established in Memory of Colin McGinty) a -kNOwKnifeCrime initiative to educate young people on the wider lasting impact of knife crime. The assembly will be age appropriate and help children to consider the choices they have. As part of our safeguarding work, we need to educate our pupils on the dangers they may be exposed to. The purpose of the fundraiser is not to scare or worry our community but to raise awareness of the possible risks and donate money to purchase bleeding control kits for our local community.
On Wednesday 17th April representatives from Year 5 and Year 6 pupils will be participating in a relay event where they will be handed the ‘bleed control kit baton’ from St Phillip’s School pupils and then run from our School to Springwell Park passing on a ‘bleed control kit’ to show how we are working as a community to keep our community safe. If your child is running in the event on 17th April, you will receive additional information.
All children in Year 5 and Year 6 will be supporting the event in some way, should they not be part of the running relay group. 84 schools in Sefton are also participating in this event which is set to be covered by the media.
