Week 14 - 13.06.20

Year 3 we are overwhelmed by your kindness!

You have been a wonderful class and getting to be your teachers was already a gift to us! Thank you so much for the lovely presents.

Lots of love,

Miss Durnin & Mrs McBride heart

Hi Year 3,

It’s the last week of school! I can’t believe how fast time has moved since the end of March when we were all together last. Mrs McBride and I have missed every single one of you and are so looking forward to seeing you in September when you’re all Year 4 children! I hope you enjoy your summer holidays and take a nice break from all the hard work you have been doing at home. I can’t believe that we are now at the end of your Year 3 journey. I’m so sorry that it was cut short but at least we have lots of fun times to look back on!

Can you all remember how hard you worked on the Harvest Festival assembly? It was amazing! And then only a few weeks later when you were the Rainbow People in our Friendship fortnight assembly? Another fantastic performance! I loved when Senorita led us all in a fiesta in class – the food and dancing were all amazing! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with for our Trashion Show next year because I loved this year’s creations! Our DT day is a great memory to look back on too. You all worked so hard making your mazes and magnetic fish games – have any of you still got them at home?

Even though you will be on your summer holidays from next week, you should keep working on the following apps/websites to help you with remembering information from Year 3. These are a good way to keep everything bubbling and make sure you are ready for the work when you go to Year 4:

  • TTRockstars
  • EpicReading or a book at home.
  • SumDog
  • NumBots

Have you all managed to collect your reports from school? I know your parents will be feeling extremely proud of you all when they read them!

I hope you all take a look at the ‘Other Activities’ tab this week on our home learning page. There are some quizzes, art activities and colouring sheets that I thought you might enjoy.

We have put together a little something for you all to keep as a reminder of our year together. It is at the bottom of this letter. You can print this off if you want to keep it as a nice reminder of the wonderful time we had together in Year 3.

As we finish our year together, I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you have completed this year. I have loved being your teacher and will miss you all so much. You are a crazy bunch and Mrs McBride and I have loved laughing with you all every day in Year 3. I know you will all keep working hard as you move through the school and make us so proud!

All our love,

Miss Durnin and Mrs McBride xx

P.S. Don’t forget to come and say hello when you’re passing our class in September.
