    Mon 26 Jun 2017

    Dear Parents

A copy of the RE Inspection Report has been sent out to you today via your child.

We are delighted to report that  our school was graded Outstanding in all areas.

We are very proud of this achievement and when you read the report I am sure you will be very proud of your children and the school.

The Report can also be found on our R.E. section. Route:-  Key Information/Curriculum/R.E. page

  • Safeguarding Alerts

    Mon 19 Jun 2017

We have been informed that a couple of our children have been playing in the old ‘Nut Factory’ off Hawthorne Road/Walker Drive. There was a serious incident there on Saturday when a child fell through the roof and is seriously ill in hospital. The building is derelict and contains asbestos. Please make your children aware that playing in this derelict factory is extremely dangerous and is not allowed.

As you are already aware, some of our children were concerned when a man approached them on Friday evening in the same area. The children reported this and consequently it is our Safeguarding duty to take all reports seriously and to inform you. As the day has progressed we have found that the incident turned out to be innocent but we praise the children for their correct behaviour.

  • Live.ly Mobile App

    Mon 05 Jun 2017

Merseyside Policy have contacted Sefton Local Authority with a very important warning about the Live.ly mobile App.

It is the fastest growing social media streaming app available and has approximately 20 million users worldwide. It enables users to live stream videos of themselves and watch videos from other users.

It has limited security features, making it possible for users to potentially identify where a video is being streamed from or has been recorded.  Any video can be recorded or shared without permission or knowledge of the person who made it.

Merseyside Police are keen for parents to make sure they know the apps their children are using, how those apps work and how they are being used.  Parents need to be aware of  the warning signs of exploitation so you can prevent your child from putting themselves at risk or forming inappropriate relationships.

You can find out more online at Listen to My Story, the Police Safety Centre and the NSPCC.
